Book Donation Project by Prof. Dr. Müzeyyen Altunbay and Her Students |
Within the scope of the Community Service Practices course, Prof. Dr. Müzeyyen Altunbay and third-year students of the department visited Giresun Imam Hatip Secondary School and donated books to contribute to the school library. During the visit, a certificate of appreciation was presented to Prof. Dr. Müzeyyen Altunbay by the school principal, Mustafa Öz, and a tree was planted in the school garden in honor of our faculty member. We would like to thank the principal and teachers of Giresun Imam Hatip Secondary School for their hospitality and kind attention, and we wish them continued success in their work. |

The Department of Foreign Language Education at Giresun University Met with High School Students |
Faculty members of the English Language Education Department within the Department of Foreign Language Education at Giresun University Faculty of Education, Dr. Lecturer Çiğdem Güneş Çilek and Dr. Lecturer Hatice Özata, met with students of Atatürk High School within the scope of Career Promotion Days. During the event, organized by Atatürk High School guidance counselor Gülcan Akın, comprehensive information was provided to 10th-grade, 11th-grade, and language-track students about university education, the structure of the English Language Education Department, and post-graduation career opportunities. Our academics shared examples from their own academic and professional experiences, offering valuable guidance for the students’ career planning. |
