The "Our Route: Mathematics" project—prepared by the Giresun University Innovative Educational Practices Society and supported under the Ministry of Youth and Sports' University Student Societies Cooperation and Support Program (UNİDES)—has been successfully concluded following dissemination activities held in Giresun.
The project, realized under the mentorship of Faculty of Education faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Aydın Güç and led by undergraduate Elementary Mathematics Education student Yeliz Karakuş, culminated in a closing event titled the "Mathematics Route Experience Workshop," designed for middle school students. During the workshop held at the Faculty of Education campus—attended by students from Sayca Imam Hatip Middle School and Ülper Martyr Ümit Kılıç Middle School—participants engaged in outdoor mathematical modeling and problem-solving activities.
Visiting the university as part of the program, the students also met with the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şanal, in his office to share their experiences and impressions regarding the project. Dean Prof. Dr. Şanal congratulated the academics and students involved, emphasizing the importance of such high-quality projects that allow prospective teachers to apply innovative educational approaches in real-world settings.
