“A Faculty of Education that learns, creates and continuously develops together…”
We are shaping the future together by preparing innovative educators who uphold scientific and ethical values and demonstrate a strong sense of social responsibility.
Student-Centred Education
Scientific Research and Innovation
Contribution to Society

Dear Students, Esteemed Academic and Administrative Staff, Alumni and Stakeholders,

Education is one of the most powerful forces shaping the future of individuals and society. Recognising the responsibility of being a teacher education institution, our primary aim at Giresun University's Faculty of Education is to prepare educators who uphold scientific and ethical values, think critically and creatively, use educational technologies effectively, and possess strong professional competence and a sense of social responsibility.

At our faculty, we place great importance on providing student-centred, inclusive and accessible teaching and learning. We believe that each student has distinct interests, abilities and learning potential, and we aim to create an educational environment in which our students can develop academically, socially, culturally and personally.

We regard scientific research as an integral part of preparing highly qualified teachers and contributing to the education system.

As we develop our academic work in response to the current and future needs of education, we support digital transformation, interdisciplinary approaches, innovative teaching practices and international academic partnerships. We value sharing scientific knowledge with educational institutions and society and using that knowledge to develop solutions to local and national educational challenges.

Quality assurance and continuous improvement underpin our faculty's education, research, contribution to society and management processes. We regard the views of our students, alumni, academic and administrative staff, and external stakeholders as a valuable part of our institutional development. Through a participatory, transparent and accountable approach to management, we build on our strengths while working resolutely on areas that require improvement.

It is our shared responsibility to prepare teachers who are committed to the fundamental values of our Republic and to Atatürk's principles and reforms, dedicated to their profession, open to change, and attentive to their surroundings and social issues. I thank our academic and administrative staff who fulfil this responsibility with dedication, as well as our students, alumni and all stakeholders who contribute to the development of our faculty.

As we share the pride of belonging to Giresun University's Faculty of Education, I believe that your contributions to our journey towards becoming a faculty that learns, creates and continuously develops together will further strengthen our future.

With warm regards,
Prof. Dr. Mustafa ŞANAL
Dean of the Faculty of Education
